The purpose of this Web site is to keep the Marion community updated on the progress of the development of the central corridor master plan. This Web site contains five main pages: the News page contains recent updates and announcements, the Documents page contains project documents, presentations, graphics, and images, the Team page identifies key members of the consulting team and city staff, and the Status page contains progress reports and highlights upcoming milestones and deliverables. | What is a Corridor Master Plan? |
A Corridor Master Plan is a document that guides public and private sector decision making, provides a progressive and attainable vision, and details an implementation strategy to turn that vision into reality. The Master Plan document contains several key elements, including:
The Master Planning effort is a consensus-based process that promotes education and engagement through meetings, workshops, design charrettes, and non-traditional forms of communication. Ultimately, the Master Plan will help the City of Marion create a memorable and unique Central Corridor.
