What is a Comprehensive Plan?

Also known as the Master or General Plan, the Comprehensive Plan establishes a vision for future growth. The Comprehensive Plan is a document that identifies goals, objectives, guidelines, policies, and strategies for growing and developing Alliance.

The Comprehensive Plan is a general, forward-looking growth plan for the City of Alliance. It includes several main sections: demographics, infrastructure, transportation, housing, public facilities, and future land use. The Comprehensive Plan is primarily concerned with placing and allocating future land use. Future land use is a guideline for future development. Types of land use include: residential, commercial, industrial, and parks and recreation.
